Late in 2023, we shipped our first international project to South Carolina.

A few weeks later, two mechanical and one electrical engineer travelled to the US, to install and commission the new facility which was added to an existing production line in its final stages of preparation to run a new model range.

The facility was a complex alignment jig which held parts in a specific position for a bolting process, accommodating for both part spring back and binding during the bolting process. The facility also has the ability to distinguish between different part variants and confirm that the parts are in the correct orientation.

We were given the opportunity to solve the customer’s complex challenge after implementing a similar system at the group’s South African plant 3 years prior. After this installation in the US, we also installed a newer version facility for the new model at the customer’s South African plant during December of 2023.
